A swallow!

A barn swallow just flew INSIDE MY APARTMENT AND WAS FLYING AROUND IN THE LIVING ROOM. These “hirondelles,” as G calls them, are have made a nest in the downstairs neighbor’s porch. The cats love to sit on the balcony and watch them fly to and from their nest below. This one evidently got a little off course….

The cats were standing there, rigid and unmoving, except their eyes were following the swallow’s every wing stroke.

The bird eventually found its way back out of the door that it had flown in. It seemed like an eternity that we all just sat there watching the bird fly around the apartment.
